Merino fibres are very fine, which allows the fibre to bend far more than traditional, coarser wool fibres. This makes Merino wool feel soft and gentle next to the young, sensitive skin.

Unlike synthetics, Merino reacts to changes in body temperature. So it helps you stay warm when the weather is cold, and cool when the weather is hot. Especially when worn next to the skin.

Breathable

Merino fabric can draw sweat away from the skin in a process called wicking. The fibres can absorb up to one third of their weight in moisture. The moisture vapour then evaporates into the air. So Merino clothing is extremely breathable and less prone to clamminess.

Natural elasticity helps Merino garments stretch with you, yet return to their original shape, which makes it great for growing children.

Merino can absorb moisture vapour, which means less sweat on your body. Merino’s natural antibacterial and odour fighting properties remove the odour from the sweat, which are then released during washing.

Stain resistant

Merino fibres have a natural protective outer layer that prevents stains from being absorbed. And because Merino tends not to generate static, it attracts less dust and lint, therefore, less washing!

Machine Washable

Little Peeps Fleece merino garments can be machine-washed. It's very elastic too so requires less ironing than other fabrics.
